THE SHOW! This was a BEAUTIFUL BUNCH OF DOGS!!!!!!!!! The Conformation fun match was very educational. We all went into this event knowing we would learn more about the strengths and weaknesses of our dogs. Julia Kleutsch explained every placement. In doing this we all became more aware of the importance of our standards, what a Rat Terrier is and how to breed for the betterment of the RT. At times she had a real hard time placing the dogs, they were beautiful, it came down to little things. They all looked great, but she found subtle differences. At one point she even said that on a different day or with a different judge these dogs might place differently. There was so much to learn and it was a wonderful environment to learn from. It took the standards from just a piece of paper to a real dog. Everyone went away knowing more about the bred we love. |
